Re: 12.3.1 stable?
After the crash's I had yesterday morning, I unplugged my Kensington expert mouse and used the Magic Mouse the rest of the day and didn't have any crash's. I've been suspecting it was causing my issues, but it's weird that they didn't happen until 12.3. I'm going to give it another day with the MM, and if I don't have any crash's I'll get a new expert mouse.

Re: 12.3.1 stable?
Absolutely not stable for me. Brand new fresh install (new disk as well) of Yosemite and all latest compatible software and plugins. Crashes and/or hangs 4-5 time a day. The hang gives me the spinning ball for about a minute before it finishes whatever it's doing. I did go through the long of list of measures to troubleshoot, including all system preferences and trashing all recommended files. The program seems to be lagging and has a generally jerky response. I also notice that the ProTools Quicktime Server is "not responding" in the Activity Monitor program. i'm currently mixing a session that has at least 120 tracks, yet the system usage is pretty calm despite the large amount of plugins in use. Does anyone have any further advice on what I might have overlooked to make this system stable? As of now, I'm close to rolling back to 11.3.2, which on this same session works great.

Re: 12.3.1 stable?
Do you have the application manager running?
If so, try disabling it.

Re: 12.3.1 stable?
Crashes seem to happen regardless of whether application manager is running or not.

Re: 12.3.1 stable?
I'm wondering if, even without application manager running, ProTools 12.3 tries to connect making the entire system sluggish?
Have you had the noise blasts?

Re: 12.3.1 stable?
I have just installed pt12.3.1 yesterday and tested it today.
Initially everything appeared to work smooth. However crashed when I was selectively doing a drag and drop of audio loops from the workspace into my session and it crashed PT12.3.1. I have encountered this same exact bug in the past in my pt11 as well. It seems like it has not been fixed yet. |

Re: 12.3.1 stable?
It's been very stable for me so far. Running on 10.8.5 Mac Pro 2012, 32 GB of RAM.
