Default Izotope RX audiosuite on pc: A sort of heads up

I have been forced to work from home this autumn, and use my home pc instead of the macs at work.

I pretty quickly started noticing how simple stuff was lagging in PT.
Like creating a fade could take a second. Instead of instantaneous like I was used to. Or adjusting clipgain would create a black little box where the small volume fader should be.
Simple stuff.

The computer is plenty fast, and doing offline bounces of mixes was at least twice as fast as the mac minis at work. So it was not a question of the cpu not being fast enough. But then I noticed that sometimes it wasn't like that.

After some testing it appears that the problem is caused by having several Izotope RX audiosauite windows open at the same time. I usually have connect, declicker, derustle and dialogue isolate open at the same time. Closing them one by one clearly showed that GUI response got better and better. This is not a problem with the other Audio suites I have tried.

Weird, but there it is.
Has anybody else seen this?

Win 10 PT 2020, Izotope audio suite send to Izotope RX Connect, many sub-windows open at once in RX. No issues here. Have you done all the standard optimizations to the PC?

There is something else wrong. RX audiosuite is not the issue. Do ALL standard optimizations; it's well documented.

Yes i have gone through the list.
Hyper threading is t.ex off, but doesn't really seem to matter.

There is a difference between what I was describing and what you said.

Maybe I misunderstood you, but:
I have four or more of the RX suite of audio suites open at once. Including Connect. Audio suite, so "inside" protools.

Not talking about how things are in RX stand alone. I also have many of them open in RX stand alone, but that does not seem to affect performance at all.

So I got help from Lars from Izotope
The fix was a classic. Delete the prefs.
Doh.

In my defense the installation was so new it shouldn't have been necessary yet.
