Pro Tools Free Computer Compatibility

Hi Guys,
Firstly just to say thanks in advance to anyone who replies to this post. I'm a Mac user trying to set up a pro tools free installation on a friend's PC. They own a
AMD K6 450MHz which is listed as not compatible with pro tools free. I was wondering if anyone out there was using this set up and what the problems were? Sorry if the info is a little sketchy but that's all there was on the specs page (see below).

Known Incompatibilities
Caution - Pro Tools FREE has been problematic with the following systems or systems with the following components:

* Some Sony VAIO computers
* Some Hewlett Packard Pavillion computers
* Cyrix processor based computers
* AMD K6, K6-2 or K6-III, K7 processor based computers

Hello mp,

I'm a new user of Pro Tools- I tried Pro Tools Free on my system first, before I got the Digi 001/PTLE. I was aware of the AMD K6 being listed in the compatibility docs as having problems, but I can say that I had NO problems running PT Free on my system, which is a 400MHz AMD K6-III system. The motherboard is an ASUS P5A w/o audio. In fact, I am now running the Digi 001 and PTLE on the same system, again with NO problems. It runs slow, but stability is good. I am also running a SB Live! Platinum sound card and PCI-based video card. The Digi 001 and Sound Blaster card play well together, fwiw.
