Buying an AudioMedia III card without Software
If I bought an AudioMedia III card that didnt come with the protools LE software, would I be able to buy the ProTools LE 5.1 upgrade and have it work? Does the upgrade contain a full application install or does it need a previous version of ProTools? I currently only have ProTools Free.
Also, I have a B&W G3, would there be any issues with some AudioMedia III cards (I saw something about some revisions working better for G4s, but is this true about G3s as well?) Thanks for your help! -dave

Yes, you can purchase the 5.1.1 LE software for $50, and it is a full installer which does not require previous installation of Pro Tools.
Check the Compatibility Documents for everything related to the AMIII and your computer setup.
