Default playing midi notes into kontakt probably 200ms delay

going through aux returns to sum subgroups (strings, brass etc)...how do I get rid of this? Its not really playable in this state

possible solution: use no Auxes while recording VI's .. use a 2nd Listening Path that has lower latency .. direct out to your interface .. have the AUX for mixing ..

So are you saying the MIDI has a 200ms delay or that the audio playback has a 200ms delay? Is you VI hosted by PT or some other host? Are there plugins that could cause extreme latency in playback? Some more information would help us help you.

In addition to the well known issue of MIDI delay what buffer setting is the OP running at? Also how is Kontakt setup (preload size, etc.)? And where are the samples coming from - spinner or ssd?

what I'm finding is that if I either turn delay comp off or don't go through an aux its fine...Ok I guess not going through the aux for tracking is probably the better solution, yes? Thanks so much everyone...I always appreciate the help!
