Interesting considering it doesn't model the EL8-X which features the Brit Mode mod.

For me to get the "everything" subscription now would be like throwing away close to a $grand
I bought a Soundcraft Series-Two 32x8 in 2004 for $7200. Now I'd be lucky to get $400 for it. What's your point? Didn't you get your money's worth?

I purchased perpetual licenses on everything up to and including VMR ... I will always have those.

Now, for the price of ONE Slate plugin per year ($149ish), you get them all. No brainer. There's a LOT of sweet plugins.

I am on perpetual licences to for most of the slate stuff, so doubt I will download a trial.

Just a question though, as I already have all the 'other' slate compressors and those of many other companies .., too many THB,

but,

.., If I go by many comments I have read on a the forums every time a new compressor comes out, and also by the marketing thats always dished out by the companies, it sounds like they keep trying to tell me my current compressors are no longer good enough and I must have this new one otherwise my mixes will suffer

Im still waiting for the compressor / limiter feature that turns the steaks over on the BBQ before they get burnt

Just posted the Distressor versions we have and tried and as they all sound a bit different we tested all three of them and it was an amazing closeness. And I know it doesn't model the brit mode thank you ..

Is he offering it for sale outright? Or just through the subscription plan?

That wasn't a dig. It was a curious observation.

I guess everything comes across as sarcasm or insult around these parts.

If you are going to spend that much, I would say just go for Empiricals Arousor and get what the Distressor does and quite a bit more.

I have both the Slate sounds better to my ears.
I was an early adopter of Arouser and I have the Distressor in hardware too.
Arouser is squishier but I find it doesn't do subtle as well as the Distressor or FG-Stress.

FG-Stress sounds exactly like my hardware unit.

Hey Buddy

I didn't take it that way and sorry if it came across that way.

If you meant the smirk emoji I didn't see i used that until now as i sent the post from a iphone and we all know how that pans out sometime changed the emojji to what I thought I posted so all good here.

It is easy to missunderstand peoples words and wording from all parts of the world as we all write in a certain style but I am sorry if I came across wrong.

All The Best
