Default Timeshift: Conform 30fps to 29.97df fps pulldown is this correct??

having never performed a pull down before - how should i set up Timeshift so as to pulldown audio tracks created @ 30fps to 29.97fps

currently i am using settings:
'maintain pitch' > Film to NTSC -0.1%
Audio Mode > Polyphonic
Range > Wide

in doing this after the file is rendered it always finishes just short of the 29.97 video file i am conforming to - i can't even measure how short in samples but it requires a manual adjustment with the TCE tool

does this seem weird - should i manually conform the file with the TCE tool rather than use the 'Post format Conversion settings' that come with the plug?

Use the vari-speed FIRST then the pitch correction. Otherwise you will have bad sync. See here

It´s about pal to film but the principle is the same.

Actually you could just do a sample rate convert and maintain pitch while not getting any artifacting from TCE type plugins. Make a new session at 29.97, then import session data from your original session. Click on the SRC box and choose 47.952 from the pull down box (film to NTSC). Voila!

Just a side note: SRC on import WILL change the pitch. It´s the equivalent to vari-speed (see the link I posted). It´s just that 0.1% of speed change is so low you won´t notice the difference.
