Using a second computer for video playback?
So I've got this old g3 powerbook (200 or 300 some megahertz) sitting next to my real machine. Mainly so I can get online while rendering and such. What I am wondering is how difficult it would be to use it for video playback synced to the real mac running Pro Tools or Logic. The idea being I could have its full screen for playback without the video window getting in my way on my main monitor.
Of course installing Pro Tools free and a little MIDI interface on it would be the easy way to go. But I would like something were I can easily make the video full screen. Is there anyway to slave say Quicktime or some other program (must be OS9) to incoming MTC? Any other ideas on how this is done?
