Default New to Vocal Studio

I just picked this up today in hopes of starting things off with a bang.

Needless to say, things have progressed downhill since I got home, and now I'm lost. I've followed as many directions as I could possibly find, but I can still not get Essential to locate my device. Keep getting that "Unable to locate hardware" problem I see so frequent on here.

Here are my specs, via Sandra:

Default Re: New to Vocal Studio

Thanks.

My friend built this system for me, and as far as I knew it already had the system pack updates. That's what I get for not paying attention.
