Default Off Line Bounce question

For years on older versions I would use my master track as my selection for bounce to disc. Meaning, if I wanted a fade out, I would select the start of the song and automate a fade on the master track. Select from song start, to end of fade, select bounce, give it a name and Bob's your Uncle.

What I'm noticing is that with 2020 it's adding the name "Master" to my song name. Not a big deal because I can delete that from the name, but I question why??

Default Re: Off Line Bounce question

the file name suffixes inherit the name of the bounce source. for example if you bounced out 4 files through these bus names...

Master
Dialog
Music
FX

...then the resulting file names would be something like:

MyGreatMix_Master.wav
MyGreatMix_Dialog.wav
MyGreatMix_Music.wav
MyGreatMix_FX.wav

hope this helps.

Default Re: Off Line Bounce question

Wow thanks Devin, appreciate your reply.

Interesting, it's never done that before... I always highlight the master track for the timeline of the song for the bounce.

Well, I don't like, but then again, I don't have to like it... LOL. Work-around: Rename the song I guess

thanks again!
