Default Eleven Free and Smack

I thought I got Eleven Free in my new PT11.3 system but it doesn't seem to be activated? Am I doing something wrong? Also tried to download Smack to see if I can play with it but it won't activate?

Smack requires a trial ilok license, which you should have received when you clicked the 'free trial' button on the Smack web page. You should be able to open the ilok license manager to verify you have a trial license.

11 Free should have been installed with PT. Do you have other included plugins?

I did find the Eleven free. This is what's confusing me - it does ask for the ilok license, but is this the protools Ilok license or a different one?

Sorry, I wasn't clear. I was asking wheather Smack used the same Ilok as the protools or need another, and if it was free to try for a while.

Default Eleven Free and Smack

Ah you asked two seperate questions, but either way you now have answers to both of them...

And by "iLok" you mean iLok license, what physical iLok(s) you actually put your license assets on is up to you. (but iLok2 required for Pro Tools 11).

Eleven Free is included with Pro Tools 11 and requires no separate iLok license.

Eleven and Smack! are optional paid plug-ins that require purchase and an iLok license.

In your AAX plug-ins folder:
Macintosh HD ▸ Library ▸ Application Support ▸ Avid ▸ Audio ▸ Plug-Ins

Leave this:
Eleven Free.aaxplugin

Unless you have a separate iLok license for these plug-ins, remove these:
Eleven.aaxplugin
Smack.aaxplugin
