Default PT 2020 Multi-output Distortion

Just upgraded to PT2020 Ultimate from 2019 Ultimate. I use the multi-output feature on Mac (Mojave) to run my mix out to my TV monitor (HDMI) and my Apollo. Worked yesterday on 2019 but now there's distortion on BOTH outputs. Sounds a bit like a bit depth or clocking error. Sounds fine as an aggregate I/O though. Anyone else use this workflow? Are you having problems too?

I haven't used that feature, but are you sure the sample rates are the same on all devices?

A dumb suggestion but try rebooting the computer... I've fixed similar by doing that.

Hello,
We occasionally use multi output devices with hdmi as one of the outputs. I’ve found two recurring issues.
- Despite any combination of master and resampling selections sometimes an output is distorted, has an oscillation, or doesn’t work.
- When using hdmi the device order matters.

To solve it is easy, quit your audio software and delete the multi output device then build it again, takes about 10 seconds. I’ve had the most stable results using the other audio device as clock master, select it first, with hdmi resampled. At one point I needed the hdmi output to sound the cleanest so I selected that first and resampled the analog, the hdmi had artifacts. I deleted the device, selected the analog as master and resampled the hdmi, all sounded adequate.
