Might consider adding that info to the page. Possibly there are other navigational methods to that folder, but darned if I could get there.

Well, there IS the trick of going to your home folder, Command-J (View/Show View Options, and then check "Show Library Folder." It's been there for years.

Or, you could launch Terminal and issue the following command:

Code:
chflags nohidden ~/Library/

Once in the user library just drag it's folder to the sidebar shortcuts.

We're 8+ months in on this, 3+ since Air addressed it, and 1+ since it was said Avid had the code it needed. Seems like an awfully long time on all of this, I get there is a work-around, but still. What gives?

You know, it's funny... I had basically given up on ever using MG again, and then I built this PC for the studio and decided to give it another go, as I've always appreciated how quickly it loaded.

I really like the way it sits in a mix. Doesn't feel like playing a real piano or anything, but it has a certain something. I've always really enjoyed using it (and DB33, too).

Honestly, it's inexcusable. And there's been zero communication to customers. I also work on AVID NLEs and I can attest they would never let this crap go with their video customers. I don't know what it is with the audio side of the company but it's really disheartening.

Default Mini Grand problem ever fixed?

I upgraded to the current version of Pro Tools at the beginning of January. Currently running ProTools 12.7.1 on a Mac running OS 10.12.4. In January I noticed a problem with the Mini Grand instrument, sort of cut off notes. This is a well documented problem and I ended up talking to an Avid rep on the phone. They blamed AIR, who actually created the instrument. I was told I would be informed when AIR fixed this. It's been 5 months and I've heard nothing. Is anyone aware if a fix is imminent?

Hi rballister please try this :

1. Go to your search

2. Type TERMINAL and press " enter "

3. Being there ( terminal ) paste this commands and press enter one at time :

defaults delete ~/Library/Preferences/com.airmusictech.Mini\ Grand.plist Setup.diskPriority

defaults delete ~/Library/Preferences/com.airmusictech.Mini\ Grand.plist Setup.GlobalPreloadFactor

4. Exit terminal

Test again and let us know if this helps !

A workaround provided by Avid support was posted by a customer earlier in this thread, and subsequently added to the Knowledge Base. The issue was also logged here (and linked from the first post in this thread) which you can Follow to be notified of changes.
