Default More plugs power with Pt 6.0/bi 867/OS X ?

Hello

I work with an Mbox/Pro tools 5.3/G4 bi 867 and i feel limited with my plugs, working on Os 9,
If i move in Os X,PT 6 with digi002r,will i be able to use much more plug-ins then before or is it just a small progress,
If i mail you,it's because i hesitate between 2 solutions:

1) digi002r with Os X Pt 6 (positive:cheap,negative:no dsp,many plugs i have not compatibles)
2) 24 mix card + Magma pci extension enabling me to work both desktop and laptop
positive:dsp,plugs compatible,negative:expansive)

All your opinions are welcome
