Yes it will.
But just with PT 10. Not PT11!

If the price is too high, then don't update. Lots of folks update because they just can't seem to leave well enough alone. Those types are not making good decisions. Nobody should update unless the newest and latest is something they really need. If you are getting your work done just fine, then you probably don't really need it. Remember, there are several studios right here in Music City that still run Mix Plus rigs and still make money with them. Having the latest doesn't make you a better engineer or musician. Its just a tool(how many carpenters are using the hammer that dad gave them?)

AAX and TDM plug-ins should revert to RTAS versions if they're going from a Pro Tools 10 session to anything earlier (assuming there's an RTAS equivalent).

Well then you have a business reason to update. And it's for you to plan ahead accordingly as a business owner to always keep a % of your profit for future purchases. If you're not doing this, you're not running your business wisely. And a studio is a business.
