most likely your output channels in the bounce dialog do not match the output assignments on the tracks you are bouncing, I do this occasionally.

Good reason why he would not hear anything during bounce. Mark you said that you change the outputs on bounce from time to time? Is that when you are recording the bounce to another source connected, like a DAT or other device's connected to other ouputs? Thanks for the suggestion's.

Default Bouncing a portion of a PT 5.01 session

I am trying to bounce a 2 minute portion of a session. When I tell PT to bounce I hear none of the file and it shows that it is bouncing a 12 minute file. Why is it bouncing 12 minutes instead of the 2 minute portion I wanted. I am using a G4 400 with 320 megs of ram, PT 5.01.

Anyone else have this problem when bouncing?

Thanks for any help.

Macguy

No problems in bouncing to disk in Pro Tools
ver 5.0.1. Are you on TDM or LE? Make sure
that you "selecting" with the selector tool
in the edit window the amount you want to bounce and the "Link edit and timeline selction" is enabled. Also playback the selected before bouncing to verify your selection. As for hearing none of the file?
Please provide more system information.
