Default ReVibe install problems from MassivePack 4

I recently purchased MassivePack4 and everything installed correctly with the exception of ReVibe. I was able to recreate this problem on more than 1 system.

When trying to install the software, I get the following message in the dialog box:

Error creating folder.
1008:9,-5000 Access denied error

Any help in this would be greatly appreciated.

G5 1.8GHz single
OS 10.3.8
2.25 GB RAM
HD3|XL
192 I/O
PT 6.9

-5000 is an OSX permissions problem namely lack of permission

you are logged in under the root admin account?
you have repaired permissions w/ Apple Disk Utility?

check the permissions of were you are installing w/ Get Info.

you need to have read/wright

If fixing permissions doesn't do it, you might want to try downloading a copy of ReVibe from the downloads section on this site.

I had this problem - fixing permissions of the plug-ins folder should do it. Go to library/application support/digidesign/plug-ins and use command-i to get info on the plug-ins folder. Under "ownership and permissions", set to allow "read and write" for you (the user), select "apply to enclosed items". Install should be fine after that.

Best...H

Thanks to everyone for the responses.

I had already repaired the disk permissions, and totally spaced out on checking the permissions of the plugins folder. I ended up having to go into the Plugins folder and doing the Apple-I (Get Info) and had to change a setting there. It seems a bit odd that the settings worked for all the other plugins and not this one, but it installed correctly.

Thanks again.
