windows avids and Mac PT OMF

trying to get windows Avid MC or symphony to mount a Mac formatted drive for export of the OMF to PT and visa versa. the windows avids won't. The Mac will take on the windows drives, thus far. Going back to the Avid has to be done on CD.
Are there any tricks for this that anyone can offer up?
PT HD 6.7cs8 w/X.3.5. The windows machine are running the latest versions of Avid MC and Symphony, though I don't know what version of windows they're on.

Most of the windows Avids have macdrive or macopen (can´t remember the name) installed to mount HFS+ drives. You will need these tools to mount mac drives to a window$ machine.
