Unfortunately, you're not being clear enough.

Most likely you're having a problem with latency, though I can't be sure from the minimal amount of info you've posted. I just dug up a quickie article on latency that may help you understand it better and determine if that's the problem you're having. Usually reducing your HW buffer size will take care of it.

If that's not the case, please explain in a little more detail your exact process and where the problem is occurring.

I posted this in the HD forum. might help you guys.

Try this:
Record the audio output of the midi to an audio track... the first 10 seconds will do.
change the main clock to SAMPLES
zoom in to sample level on the newly recorded audio
Make a selection from that first sample of the recorded audio BACKWARDS toward where the audio SHOULD start ie: the start of the session
Now the main clock should have start/end/length
Write down the length value.
open the midi offest window and enter the NEGATIVE length value for that midi track.

That should line it up give or take a few samples, as the latency is never perfectly the same.

hope that helps, I could explain it better if I was sitting in front of my daw but I'm not at the moment.

Yes - it's a global setting that affects all MIDI data.
