Native I Kontakt in Pro Tools: signal is there, nothing records!

I am unsure if the question is PT-related or NI or UA... I'm new to the two latter. I must admit I'm (still) green on IO on Apollo. As well as with Native Instruments (KOMPLETE 12)

Perhaps a NI question, a PT question, an UA question or all 3...

Been struggling for about two hours trying to record a signal from Native Instruments. I get a signal entering in Pro Tools. I select either Virtual or MON L-R Stereo on Apollo X4 interface (through Pro Tools)

The signal is appearing when I play the keyboard through NI instrument. But nothing records! Tried it with ''Instrument'' track, with ''Audio'' track - same results. I have not tried with a ''MIDI'' track as I want to record an audio signal... not MIDI data.

Is this matter of I-O or something else ? Type of track? (audio, MIDI, Instrument).

BTW no problem to record anything else (audio tracks, AIR instruments)...
