digi 002- No headphone monitoring when recording

Digi 002 with Pro Tools LE –
I’ve been experiencing a intermittent problem with the headphone output. When record enable is activated, I get input signal bars in PT but nothing out of the headphones. It will record or and play back ok thru the headphones; just can’t monitor yourself during recording. I noticed this at first when using the XLR inputs, then later the ¼ inch inputs. It’s getting worse. Its fine also in stand alone mode. (Again, some times it does work) Any thoughts??

this is a stretch but I would open it and re-seat all the plastic connectors. My thought is that maybe the voltage is not getting to one of the circuit boards like the board that drives the headphone output. The power harness on the 002 has been a long-known issue but usually makes the unit non-functional. Also, look for any other connections that might become loose. Maybe review your wiring and recording techniques to see if maybe you have something set wrong somewhere.

Thanks for the support. I did some more thinking and decided it was probably a software problem because the headphones do work, except in record enable mode. I tried reinstalling update 7.1cs10 and…….it works! It works!!! I’m still going to reset the connectors to be safe (i want to look inside anyways); or maybe send it to Black Lion Audio for the upgrade.
