Re: Anyone see this interface delay comparison?
But does it show us anything that we did not know before? I mean the actual measurements are interesting but we already knew that HD with DSP had the lowest latency followed by HD Native. Those two are far better than firewire which is better than USB2. About the only one I wasn't sure about was Symphony but it pretty much falls where I'd expect, between firewire and HD Native.

Re: Anyone see this interface delay comparison?
Would that apogee setup be comparible to using a RayDAT and ADI-8?

Re: Anyone see this interface delay comparison?
This is total round trip latency - right?

Re: Anyone see this interface delay comparison?
I wonder if there are certain conditions or parameters that are relevant in interpreting the results. I only noticed on condition, and that was 96Khz SR's in the test.

Re: Anyone see this interface delay comparison?
Yes, total round trip. As for the conditions, I'm told that 48K would double the latency. While I guess I can accept that in theory, I still have yet to hear a single complaint about latency when recording at 44.1 or 48K. And that's with drummers playing my V-kit and hearing drums coming from Superior Drummer in the box

Re: Anyone see this interface delay comparison?
That is what I have been searching for, for the last week. I use a rosetta 800 and Symphony and while no one has complained about the latency, coming from a HD system... it is killing me.
I guess now I know that I have really do only have 2 options still when it comes to Pro tools, HD or Native The only strange things is that on the Apogee Website they say that Symphony 64 gets 1.8ms latency. Avid specs are spot on their advertised levels but Apogee are not? I wonder what a Symphony I/O gets in terms of latency? Might be a better comparison when it comes to HD Native or Symphony I/O
