Default 12.8.1 and Mohave

is it possible to run 12.8.1 on Mohave? thank you

First Mojave compatible version was 2019.5.

You can try, but 2018.1 came out around 7 odd months before Mojave was even released soooo...

thank you Sardi.... i appreciate that... i was hoping it would as simple as upgrading from 10.10.5. to 10.14 and VOILA!!! everything works

Not with software and definitely not with Pro Tools.

You are dealing with the finickiest of DAWs out there. Any other app and there’s a good chance it will probably run. Pro Tools... let’s just say it’s usually best to stick to the system requirements as strictly as possible.

But at the end of the day, there’s no harm in trying.

And let's not forget that Mojave and later OSX's require a Metal compatible video card.
