Re: This looks interesting
whaatt... hwo exactly does that work? Just like a UAD card or something? I would be able to go in and jsut add an insert from this unit within protools? Is there any latency with this thing? But that is pretty cool... although it says that you can't do 32 EQ's and compressors with a PC... but I acctually can. And quad-core can easily do that... but i know what they mean. If i could do 32 tracks with nice EQ and a nice Compressor would be pretty cool. Then since the CPU wouldnt be touched yet i would have able to have that extra to do Amp modelers and BFD and HUGE reverbs. ha ha

^^^^^^
That's what I'm talking about!! From what I heard about the UAD, it used too much cpu power of the host. This thing claims to work directly with PT without any vst wrapper stuff.

Re: This looks interesting
hmm... well the vst to rtas wrapper thign doesn't really use CPU time... I have a bunch of VST and Rtas plugins and they use the same amount of CPU power. But UAD add delay and it doesn't get compensated for.. thats the problem with those.

That is insanely cool. I have an instant desire for one. I used a Liquid Channel the other day for the first time and oh my! |
