DSP would be nice, but at least we have HEAT.

Re: Cranesong Phoenix II is available AAX Windows Native
Phoenix II is awesome but be aware your settings moving from TDM Phoenix I to AAX II are not recalled.
I had to make manual notes on my TDM rig of Phoenix I style and drive levels, which was a bit tedious, so I could recreate a mix on HDX and Phoenix II, but I suppose it is a "new" plug in as it has all of the five previous PI's in one...kind of. It's a shame they couldn't build that in to it, but it's a big favourite. I finally have HEAT now I'm on HDX but I'm finding I'll often turn it off on some channels and still use Phoenix II to get the much greater flexibility and variety of tones available. Amazing Plug In I think even if you have HEAT you gotta have it. |

Re: Cranesong Phoenix II is available AAX Windows Native
thanks guys.. will be checking this out... HDNative install this week
so i'll be installing a trial version of this plug-in soon, i would like to know what the limitations of this plug in as compared to HEAT are? meaning are you somewhat limited on how many instances you can run PHOENIX II, how many tracks? how power hungry is it? i'm guessing thats why y'all over in HDX want the DSP version badly? or are modern CPUs better equipped to handle such a plug in with ease?... thanks for the advice.

I'm going to assume that most of you have Version 1. I've moved from Mac to PC and can't find the installers for V1 anywhere. I'd be ever so grateful if someone could e-mail them to me for V1 PC to darrell £at£ msbmastering.ie
Thanks, Darrell |
