This software requires installation of device driver TPkd (HELP)

I got a new computer last week and I'm having troubles getting my Pro Tools 7, or 8 onto the computer. Half way through installation it freezes and doesn't install all the way. If I try to load Pro Tools after that I get the

"This software requires installation of device driver TPkd and a reboot before running. Please reboot or reinstall the software"

I read on a site that sometimes Pro Tools can take up to an hour to install (never had it take that long before) so I decided to just wait to see if it would continue further rather than what I thought was freezing. Went to bed last night while it was installing and sure enough I woke up with it still stuck at the same 50-60% install and I had to force a close on it.

Please help me on this? Oh, and another thing is that is with Pro Tools 7, my UPGRADE of Pro Tools 8 won't work either because for some reason it's asking me for a key. I don't recall getting a key for the upgrade to Pro Tools 8. It just installed on my last computer just fine without even having Pro Tools 7 already installed. I don't get it?

Thanks bud, I guess if I wasn't so irritated at reading a bunch of other crap about other issues I've been having with software on my computer I wouldn't have been so lazy... :)
