Best books on recording techniques, mixing and mastering

Modern Recording Techniques by Huber and Runstein and Audio In Media by Alten are two excellent audio textbooks that I have used in classes that I teach.

They cover all the basics and would probably be helpful in filling the gaps in your knowledge.

Both have chapters on mic techniques, stereo setups and the like as well as many other areas like sound and hearing, studio design, consoles, DAWs etc.

Could you, please, advice some very practical and valuable books dealing in detail with recording acoustic instruments, classical music, stereo microphone techniques, mixing and mastering, books, which could be a very inspiring help for someone, who is not a professional sound engineer, but a professional musician having his own quality studio technique and is very enthusiastic to improve a lot his recording knowledge and practical skills ?
(I am not interested in any electronic music, rock, MIDI, samplers etc.)
