Default Where are my Plugs???

This may have been asked before, but I cant find the post -

None of my plugins are showing up as instruments. Sampletank 2.5, Trilogy, Demension Pro, Atmosphere, not even my Waves. I just upgraded to 7.4 running windows xp.

Also, how do you remove those annoying sample plugins that ask you to register them? They are not in the DAE folder.

Thanks for your response in advance and sorry if this is a repost.

Craig

Which versions, specifically, of these plugins? You may need to update them to the latest versions for them to function with 7.4, or maybe even simply re-install them. Waves definitely will require an update.

Which version of Pro Tools did you upgrade from?

U may find them here...follow in this order...LOCAL C:/PROGRAM FILES/DIGIDESIGN/DAE/PLUG-INS

If u see the plugs that u r looking for in there then thatz ur problem...they should be in the LOCAL C:/PROGRAM FILES:COMMON FILES/DIGIDESIGN/DAE/PLUGS-INS folder....

Hope this helps....

And if your plugins are in said location:
Quote:
C:/PROGRAM FILES/DIGIDESIGN/DAE/PLUG-INS
It is a huge indication that they are out of date and need to be updated. Plug-ins haven't been installed to that location since version 6 or so.

All updated, valid plugins that are 7.x compatible would/should be installed to the common files location by default. All of the up to date, valid plugins you mention having problems with install to the common files location by default.
