Agreed. I've been switching back to 10 for beat detective. 11 is VERY slow.

(thanks again for the emergency pediatrician reference earlier this month!)

Wondering if anyone has tried 11.1 yet? Curious if that has fixed the BD issue… Not jumping at the chance to be a 11.1 "beta tester" while trying to finish some mixes - BUT, if BD is fixed it'd be worth the risk. Didn't see anything specifically mentioning this in the "things that PT11.1 fixes" document.

I wanted to update this thread to let everyone know that this has now been officially repro'ed in house by Avid and put into the queue for a fix. I was not given a time table but at least it's on their radar screen now.

Sadly, I put 11.1.1 on my system, and now (presumably) I can't go back to PT10, I mean, the co-install thing. Trying to finish a mix today which needs some serious Beat Detective work, so this couldn't have come at a worse time.
Ugh!

Sending good vibes to the PT coders at Avid!

Post Re: Beat Detective PT11

As Drew commented earlier, we were able to repro in house and Engineering has been working on it.

Please subscribe to http://avid.force.com/pkb/articles/t...ng/PTSW-184608 or this thread to be notified when we have more info.

Thanks,

Thanks for the good vibes.

You can co-install PT 10 (10.3.6 or later) with 11 unless you also updated your OS to Mavericks. What OS are you on?

Hiding the Beat Detective window (while the process is running) is the only way to speed it up for now. I realize this is not a great workaround, but might at least help a bit.

Thanks,
JC
