Default Sync I/O GPI Triggers

Hi all,
I just figured out how to use the GPI outputs on the SYNC I/O (for example to switch on a red light and mute a signal)
But I could not find any info on how to use the GPI INPUTS.
There are four of them, can they be used to trigger certain functions? Or is this not implemented?

Thanks

Hi,

Sorry, I have no idea how to use the GPI INPUTS - but could you share what you have found out about using the GPI OUTPUTS?

Hi Matts,
The outputs are explained at the end of the SYNC I/O Manual. Basically you have 6 Outputs:

GPI output signals information:
0 (relay) = Play
1 (relay) = Record Ready
2 (relay) = fader start #1
3 (relay) = fader start #2
4 (TTL) = Stop
5 (TTL) = Record

(PS: I guess there's no way of reconfiguring these..)

The fader start relays close reacting to the first two aux channels. I'ts meant for starting CD players and such.
Record ready means at least one track armed and playhead rolling.

Please somebody explain the GPI input functionality!!!

Thanks

I don't think the 4 GPI inputs are used for anything.
