bigger hard drives needed

I'm currently using twin internal 9 gig Cheetahs - mod # ST39103LW. interested in replacing them with something larger. seen several affordable 18, 36, even 72 gig Cheetahs on eBay...still a little confused about Ultra SCSI, SCSI 2, SCSI 160, etc. concerned about interface options and physical size...obviously, I want to simply swap out drives without any complications or re - configuring...can somebody give me a primer lesson ?
