Bootup problems
Hi we have a G3/PT24mix+ system with a glypth dual drive (One howswap HD and one Yamaha CDR.
When we boot up our system, (in correct sequence - Glypth, I/Os then G3) it just hangs before the little mac monitor icon, if we reboot without the glypth switched on its fine, could this be a cable problem? if so is there a way to test this, if not any idea's? Help would be really appreciated. Andy @ Livewire Youth Project |

Re: Bootup problems
Yeah I have 8 external Utra/wide SCSI drives hooked up to my system. The only way I can reliably boot the machine is to turn the them on after machine starts up then use my ATTO SCSI accelerator utility to mount them. I normally unmount them before shut down causes less problems.
Do your Glyph drives come with a disk management utility? Not sure if this is normal operating procedures...but works reliably for me. [This message has been edited by Michael Cottrell (edited June 09, 2001).] |

Re: Bootup problems
I believe this is caused by FWB's driver. Try using a different one.
