Default PT 8 Not Clearing DSP

Since PT 8 sessions when shut down then you open another session or the same session again will not play i get DAE 6031 when the transport in pressed into play mode and the system usage window never clears it self when a session is shut down.I half to close protools and reopen it for any session big or small or brand new to play again. Why?This never happened in any version before on XP.I have screen shot i can show but images are turned off on my account can you turn it on so i can show them.

Hi Phil, You might try to go to your system usage window and diable the DSP cache and clear cache. Restart PT and see if it helps.

Looks like Brandon beat me to it!!!

Looking at your picture. On your HD Process #1 card (the bottom one in the System usage view) there is a little arrow. Click on that.

This option was added with PT8. I only use it during tracking sessions that all use the same configuration. It can speed things up when jumping from session to session. I turn it off otherwise.

It's pretty well hidden. I think it was in the "what's new in 8.0" pdf, but it might be nice if it defaulted to disabled.

That should work, I don't know of what else to suggest at this time.
