Default Mapping a footswitch to punch in and out?

Does anyone know a way to punch in and out recording using midi mapping and a momentary foot switch?

I have a Behringer X-Touch One which has a 1/4" foot switch jack. With a momentary foot switch all it does presently is start and stop playback in Pro Tools 12 2018.

Behringer says that Midi Channels PLAY is CC 117 and Record is CC 118 in Pro Tools. How do I go about putting those commands into Pro Tools? I'm very much a novice when it comes to midi and how to make it work?!?!

Help please - Somebody!!
