Wow, Cubase has a new feature now, AAF support. PT has this since years.

This comparison is so senseless and childish. Get Cubase if you think it‘s better for you!

Or do you think Avid should stop developing features other DAWs already have?

Honestly, though, is a bit embarrassing this was not yet there. When I started using PT 1.5 months ago...I was shocked.
So, maintaining a lower profile on such features...could be a better choice.

Every post you made since joining the forum has been you complaining and telling us how shocked and disappointed you are in Pro Tools so why are you still using PT if it is such a featureless DAW for your needs? I mean come on man!

You know you can actually use more than 1 DAW since every DAW can’t be everything for everyone so if you feel Cubase or Logic etc has the features for you then buy a license for one of them and use both. We use PT2018Ultimate for mixing and tracking and Ableton Live10 Suite for Midi and programming.

Also use LogicX 10.4.2 for some of their VI and Features. Many people do this and so can you instead of beeing disappointed.

If (IF!!!) Avid finally fixed the audio engine. So that PT can handle low buffers and just keeps going when changing different things. And if it uses the cpu efficiently and you can even use these low buffers during recording.

IF Avid finally fixed it. I am fine and it is worth every cent.

that said. Fixing the delay compensation (auxes and sidechains) should really be the next most urgent step.

IF that is fixed as well. Than the can tart to look at new features.

Just my 2c

I know, i said some negative things about PTU. Especially about the In App Purchases of additional Voices...(Hey, we are paying 400 Dollar every year)

But now something positive. I mixed some tracks with PTU the last days (as always...) and i must say. The workflow is still unbeatable, so much better, than Logic, Cubase and co... HDX is really a great plattform and its still working just fine today. I think, its important to say, that Protools is and will be a great DAW now and in the future...
Protools will be my main Daw for tracking, mixing and mastering...Its simply great to work with...

If the audio engine will be more stable in version 2019...wonderful.
More Voices for HDX...really great...

I hope Avid will bring DC to sidechains in the native world.
Sure, there are features, i really want, like ARA2, Track Folders, more Midi features... But lets see, what Avid brings this year... Maybe, there are some great suprises...

For midi work and Melodyne Integration, LPX is working... Every DAW has some features, which stand out...like Logic, Cubase and of course Protools... And i think, its great to have more choices in the DAW world...(I really like Reason for example or Live for its advantages...)

This answer is not very honest. If you list the functions of each, and the development of these functions, you will see that Pro Tools is much behind schedule. Verry much. I prefer PT to Cubase, but you have to be fair. If you accept this delay, which ends up being frustrating, let others comment on it.

That said, after a break-in period, I prefer Samplitude to PT. Do not tell me to go to Samplitude. It is done !

You're lucky to be on a a PC! I wish so much that Samplitude was available to MacOS as well. A really clever piece of application. Love it. Miss it.

Just to understand.
Is it confirmed that the 32 I/O limit will NOT be lifted in PT ULTIMATE 2019 for SW only users??
