Default Omnishphere and Tax Day

So, since it turned out I had to pay some additional tax this year instead of getting a refund, as has been the case for several years, I decided to celebrate by rewarding myself by getting Omnisphere. Should arrive today!

I mean if I have to pay Uncle Sam, I should get something too, right? Good logic?

That's as good an excuse as any. Omnisphere is a beast. First thing you should do is load up some of those Jazz voices and have fun. Like this guy on the Roland 700SX https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1U9OPrBnAKk

Yes, Omnisphere is an awesome beast. I love it. Great sounds, love how editable everything is. Created a session using it. Had one instantiation, loaded up 8 patches in Multi mode, assigned midi input channels, routed the sound back out to PT Aux tracks using the Audio out function. All works beautifully!

Love the Stack mode edit page too. So easy to set up keyboard range assignments and velocity structures. Its actually structured a lot like the Yamaha Motif XS8 in many respects. Lots of the exact same functions.

It'll take a while to get through all the sounds...but I love how crisp and clean all the samples are, and you can really be creative with building sounds with it.

Haven't gotten too deep into the arpeggiator yet. But looks a lot like others I am familiar with, so shouldn't have too much trouble setting up new arps and sequences with it.

Well worth it I'd say! VERY Happy!!

The spectrasonics videos tutorials just give you a brief overview. If you want to dig deeper I recommend the Plugin Guru's advanced tutorials on youtube.
