I found this: Here

Pro Tools FREE for Mac OS 9 and Windows 98/Me — Discontinued

Pro Tools FREE for Mac OS 9 and Windows 98/Me are no longer available for download or on CD.

There are no current plans for a standalone version or a free version of Pro Tools for either Mac OSX or Windows XP.

When Pro Tools FREE for Mac OS9 and Windows 98/Me was released years ago, it was originally meant to be a temporary demonstration tool for Pro Tools. At that time, there were no portable (USB or FireWire) Digidesign interfaces, only Pro Tools systems that used PCI hardware. Since that time, Digidesign has introduced the Mbox, Mbox 2, Digi 002, and Digi 002 Rack interfaces, as well as Pro Tools M-Powered software, which supports many M-Audio portable interfaces.

But I actually have it! Or at least I found that I have a file called "Pro Tools Free installer", 8,8mb. I could mail it to you.
You are aware that it's a OS9 app aren't you?

PT free did not work on Digi hardware.

I think you are referring to 3.4.1. I still have it.

I agree I think he's confused.
PT Free never had a number associated to it it was just PT Free.
It was a download and also packaged with the first version of David Franz' book.
There was however a couple of different versions of PT for the old Audiomedia and the ToolBox, which is what I think he's after.

I seem to remember that too.
And that I actually used it with my AMII card. But I can't be shure.

By the way, Onepercent, the analyzer app link you sent me said:
"Requires a TDM system with one free DSP chip."
So, I don't know.

I sent you the file.

Actually works in standalone with audiomedia3 as the main input/output in control panel with spdif of course but it's only the plug-in version of the analyzer that needs protools tdm///anyway lucky me found a clone of this old system for the analyzer with pro tools 4 on it same one that's in use now just need to find a ppc before g3 cause startup disk won't mount on g3 using a system7.6.1 bootable/cd
The one in use right now sounds like a Lawn mower a future time bomb got to re/up.

If you are in interested in finding use for a PPC this software from id intelligent use to be worth a lot but it is now free. macworld review 8/10
