Issues Punch-in Recording
Hi everyone I'm new to this forum and have a noob question. Ive been slowly teaching my self how to use pro tools but I've run into a problem
I was punching in things arming the track at my desired measure (measure 85 for example) record and not get the good take i wanted and want to redo it, the problem is its not starting me back at measure 85 its starting at the point i stopped recording. How can i arm the tracks to go back to automatically starting at 85? |

Re: Issues Punch-in Recording
You need to make a time line insertion....For me its easier if I link Time Line and Edit selection...And make sure that Insertion follows playback is off...
You can find this at the top of your edit window underneath the edit tools... Welcome to the forum :) let me know if that helped...

Re: Issues Punch-in Recording
Perfect! I got it working through the Setup>Preferences>Operation menu. Thank you very much jbrown7282 for helping me fix this frustrating problem, I'm still very new to pro tools and still learning basic operation stuff. Thanks again!
