EUCON vs HUI protocol

Haven't had a chance to install anything yet, but I did get the AVID controller for my new I-pad, which I see uses Eucon protocol. Am I imagining things (possible!) or did I read somewhere that PT gets finicky if you try to use HUI and Eucon protocol both? (I have an old Tranzport that I like a lot, just wondering if there's going to be a conflict...)

I would go ahead and try it. Given the features of the new iPad app, if there is any conflict, you will likely be able to get all you need from the iPad and remove the Tranzport from your setup(I will be making this same discovery soon enough regarding my Presonus Faderport)

im using both , tranzport and artist mix with eucon....
at least on PT10 there is no problem , 12 should be fine too

Thanks guys! If I'm happy with the I pad app, I think the Tranzport will find a home with the guy that helped me move my subwoofers twice...

Update....it of course took some fiddling around and resetting my network, but we're up and running! Pretty slick, especially for FREE! Thanks again for the input.
