Remote Sessions like Source-Connect

Hi;

does anybody know if "Track Collaboration" also provides Audio-Post user with Remote-Session functionalities like i.e. source-connect does? Would be 2016-like to be able to do overseas ADR sessions without using 77 other applications... someone??

It absolutely does not. Track collaboration is not real time, first off. It is the equivalent of sending files back and forth. They have literally resurrected a "feature" from ProTools 5 that never took off and labeled it "cloud collaboration" to get some marketing buzz. Multiple people, including myself, have talked to the development team (all 2 of them for this) of what it should be: like source-connect with better integration.

It was called "DigiStudio Internet Collaboration" and it was supplied by Rocket Networks in 2001. For the current version they have literally started with the code from this release.

We're not even getting to to the now-named Aspera solution which was hardware based for hardware compression of file sending and encryption (that was hacked on a major movie and excluded by the MPAA after that until Aspera could fix it.)
