Session stops opening while Activating Inserts

Hi All,

This is my first post here - I'm having trouble opening a specific session. My other sessions open up fine, but this one stops opening and freezes PT while "Restoring Tracks... activating inserts" on a specific track (the mono overhead track). I have to force quit PTLE and I don't remember what inserts are on that track.

I've tried trashing prefs, DAE prefs, etc. but it's still not opening. I'd rather not remix the tune. Any suggestions?

My set up is:

Digi 003 rack
PTLE 7.3.1 cs4
MAC PowerBook G4 17"1.67 GHz PowerPC 1.5GB Ram
OSX 10.4.9
80GB firewire drive

Please let me know if I've forgotten any pertinent info.

Try creating a new empty session and importing the session data from the one you're having problems with.

Thanks Slim. I tried that and the same thing happens. Freezes up at the same place.
Any other suggestions?

You very likely have a corrupt or incompatible plug-in installed. You should remove all plug-ins from your plug-ins folder then either put them back one by one while launching Pro Tools each time or put them in by halves and, by process of elimination, determine which is the offending plug-in.
