Default Low Output volume in LE

Hi there newbie here again. I got the tempo change for the drum tracks sorted and just bought EZ Drummer, wow this is getting so good , now I can record drum tracks change tempo etc etc etc

One problem I am finding is that the output from my monitors is quite low even though they are very close to me I am using M audio BX5A. It aoppears that the output from LE is low. Am I missing a trick here? How do I make everything Louder.

I have tried to use amplitube but I get latency problems and again the signal appears to very weak. I have gone back to using my Pod xT. I would like to get Guitar rig XE but am now waiting for the free version of Eleven with the Pro tools 8 upgrade
Any clue as to how to get the volume up would be appreciated
many thanks in advance

Newbies are welcome here. As for Amplitube and GR, you need to run your buffer at 128 or smaller to use those "live". Hopefully your computer is powerful enough to do that.

Now to your volume problem, you need to look at "gain staging" which is level settings at each point in the chain of audio. Assuming you are recording with the meters(in pro tools) at least halfway up(if not, I recommend adjusting the gain knobs on your interface for a hotter signal going in). The next point in the chain is within your session. If you are using a master fader, is it up near the -0 position(start there for testing)? Next is the output of your interface(you didn't say which one). Look for the output level and crank it up if it is way down or (on Mboxes) check the MIX knob position. Last(not quite but you'll see) is the speakers. I say not quite because the cables can screw this up too. Usually the speakers should be set for a +4 input signal but you try the -10 input if the speaker offers a choice(or crank up the volume knobs on the speakers). Back to the cables, what cables are you using? Balanced is the way to go assuming the interface has balanced outs and the speaker has balanced ins. If you have balanced cables and either part of the signal gets lost from a bad connection, you will lose 6db of signal strength {+ is on pin 2 of an XLR, or the tip of a TRS and - is on pin 3(XLR) or the ring(TRS)}.

I just reviewed the specs on your speakers and see that they have unbalanced inputs so you need to be using unbalanced cables so you should be using straight guitar cables. Note that exdrummer has a little "knob" to the right of the humanize "knob" that can be turned up for more volume from the plugin. I know this all sounds complicated but it may help.
