MTRX activation issue

Bought a MTRX to replace my HD I/O from a guy on reverb.
He said it was unregistered (I was skeptical because you have to register in order to get dad man rocking) but maybe he had more than one mtrx.
Anyway he didnt send a activation card. I reached out thinking this was no big issue and he has since gone silent. Without activation this thing is basically a brick as Im an s6 user. He wont respond to transfer of ownership request. He wont respond to text or emails. I have the unit and the serial but not sure if I can escalate this as a support case without some participation from him.
Anyone had experience?

The MTRX activation card gives you: digilink i/o license and MTRX firmware/DADman software.

If you had an HD I/O you should already have the digilink I/O license.

For the firmware/DADman software, you can download it from Digital Audio Denmark's site. It's the same installers/firmware/user manual as Avid's (sometimes it pops up first there and sometimes on Avid's site. But make no mistake, DAD is doing all the work and not Avid.) Create a free "support" account and then you have access to the downloads.

I do have a digilink Auth. I also tried to download from dadman before posting this originally and for some reason I get a server error. or rather Bad Request (Invalid Hostname)

Seems DAD's server host is having temporary problems.

You can get to it from Avid's site without having it registered. Log into my.avid.com. Go to the "Download Center" (right column, second block.) If you haven't linked your account, do it now so you have access.

Go to the bottom for "MTRX / DADman", click and you'l have access to download.

You want the top one. chances are you'll need to do the firmware update. First install DADman and then do the firmware update (Device List window in DADman, right click on MTRX you want to update, select firmware update, point to file downloaded -- it'll take care of itself including rebooting so don't have Pro Tools running)
