I actually find that the exp pedals are very sensitive to movement. For instance, take the 11R's multi-fx function, it's an effect that is technically always on, (no on/off control) and engages when the set expression pedal is moved. Say i change preset while my pedal is at FULL heel down, which is "value 0". Even if i slightly put pressure on it, the pedal sends the information, and multi-fx starts doing it's thing. I imagine that's the space between value 0 and value 1 according to the expression pedal. Movement with the exp pedal is not at all "jumpy" or "steppy", i don't think you can even really tell the difference between value 0 and value 1 in terms of wah, or if it's even humanly possible to consistently move just 1 value at a time. Also, i wouldn't be surprised if an "exp pedal in" was just something that converts information into MIDI to control effects anyway, whether you do it with an expression pedal, or modded volume pedal. And since the IK Stealthboard is a MIDI controller, all it's sending is MIDI info right? "analog" pedal or otherwise.
