Pro Tools First with Scarlett 18i20 (1st Gen) Errors

New Pro Tools user here. Please be kind.

I'll start with a general, brief overview of the error I'm encountering with attached Windows 10 log.

I have a Scarlett 18i20 (1st gen) installed along with Pro Tools First (version 2018.1.0).

- I start PT and select the "Focusrite USB2.0 AudioDriver" as the playback engine leaving the default output as Mon 1-2 and the sample rate as 44.1 khz.
- I create a new mono audio track.
- I assign the input to "Mic 1" which is active on my Scarlett (I've verified it's "hot" using the Scarlett MixControll application).
- As soon as I click "Track Record Enable" on the track, the program crashes.

I honestly don't know where to start to diagnose this. Please forgive me. Any advice would be very much appreciated.

I'm using one myself, without problem. However I'm using the "beta" drivers, I'm not sure if that is helping. Also, I'm not doing a whole lot with mix control, no special mixes or anything.

What happens if you don’t start Mix Control and just use PTf?

It only crashes with Mic 1 Enable?

Import a loop and playback- what happens?

What version driver are you using? There is one from 8/2017 that you can update to. I have the same unit, 1st gen 18i20 and it works great with 12.5.2

My post had the wrong date. You should use 3.1.8.606 dated 8/28/2014 (not 2018) as I stated above.
