Any chance of making it a "Sticky" so others can find and use it too?

It uses the global sample rate set up by the OS. You'll need to change it in Speaker Properties:

I'm sure we'll see this further developed by Avid down the road. It's their first implementation of this after all.

Thanks Shan! But, what does "PM sent" mean?

Thanks everyone for your help so far!

Although I have sound now (with ASIO4ALL selected), my sound won't work in other programs while PT is running

I've been looking for solutions elsewhere and trying the advice on this thread but nothing has fixed it so far. BTW, I'm using virtual instruments in PT right now, not recording audio. Working on a desktop (home build).

The Windows Audio Device won't work for me, even when I changed the global sample rate to match the session sample rate.

Where have I gone wrong? I apologize if the answer's already out there, all of this information is a bit overwhelming for a noob.

If you don't have any other Windows sound devices in your computer (like HDMI Audio, etc.) You'll need another audio interface for either PT or your other programs to use.

No need for apologies - that's what this DUC is (should be!) for!

Shan,

How did you get that image imbedded in your post?

For recording, you'll need to use ASIO4ALL as mentioned by the others above.

He either used BB code like I explained in the infamous pdf thread or hosted the image at a third party imaging site.

Thanks! It seems like a useful feature that could help greatly with educating users as well as identifying, troubleshooting, and/or reporting problems. "A picture is worth a thousand words (pages)". Would you consider making a sticky thread showing (with pictures) how to do it?

As I said I already gave a bit of an explanation in the infamous pdf thread but I agree a good visual explanation would be good. Maybe one of the BB code cognoscenti could do it? My way may well not be the cleanest way to do the job.
