Another way: Mac Preferences > Trackpad > Secondary Click set to two fingers....or whatever you prefer and use that.

Have you tried trashing prefs?

Mmm I'm seeing the same thing here, but I normally use a two button mouse with Pro Tools on my MBP so would not know if it normally works.

Thanks Darryl.... I'm such an die hard Modifier key guy I dont think I could do a 2 finger click.

I have noticed this consistently with various versions of ProTools.... so i know it isn't a PT prefs issue...

doing more mobile work now (meaning.... doing some) so i would love to be able to do this with a modifier key.

If you are seeing the same thing there.... maybe it just doesnt work?

sooooo odd.

thanks.

Just bear in mind, although most manufacturers use ctrl click as a keyboard alternative for right click it is not 'hard wired' and you will find software where ctrl click just doesn't do the same thing as right click.
I used to be a 'die hard modifier key' user too, but I can assure you that once you're used to the two finger click on the trackpad it is faster and easier than ctrl click. And the good thing is, it will always mimic right click, while ctrl click doesn't do that in all apps.

Happy clicking,

Daniel

Yes, but...clt-click does not always access true right-click commands; for example in the session browser you can't access the important right-click commands for relinking without a true right-click. Best to use a pointing device that supports right-click, or program your trackpad for it.

best,
rich
