Does it work if you create a mono audio track?

Are the meters on the track showing signal?

korg triton connected to the mbox 2 pro through midi and input 1 and 2. output out to yamaha monitors. i hope i am answering your question correctly. i not very versed on the technical side. as a sidenote, its was working fine up until i post this thread. at the same time i got an error 6085 msg, in which i have a seperate thread on now as we speak. but i loaded a new session and loaded a audio track to play from my keyboard and still no sound or meter readings. i didnt unplugged anything. it just stopped. would the error msg have anything to do with this u think. even though no software plugins were being used?

I notice you have NI KOMPLETE. At least 5 or 6 NI plugins are not compatible with PT8. They will cause trouble even if you aren't using the plugins in the current session. Move them to the Unused Plugins folder and see if your preformance issues get any better

Let's start by isolating the problem.

Let's start by looking only at audio (no midi, no virtual instruments)
Unplug the midi cable
Connect a powered monitor to your Korg Triton keyboard. Is there sound when you play the keyboard? (Make sure this works first)
Reconnect the audio cable to the Mbox2
Reconnect the powered monitors to the Mbox outputs
Try creating an audio (not instrument) track again
Make sure your I/O patching is correct
Arm the track
Play the keyboard, is there any signal in the meters?
If not, your problem is with the audio portion (start troubleshooting that)

If audio works now, is your problem fixed? If not, is your problem with midi or virtual instruments?
Do a similar systematic testing of midi to se if it records.

Make sure you understand that midi does not transmit audio but only the instructions to the other device. (common misunderstanding)
