Default ANTARES AUTO TUNE 3

Does anyone have as much trouble as I do getting plug ins installed, what a process!!!
I downloaded a demo copy of Antares auto tune 3 from their web site, tried to install it on my mac os X, couldn't get it happening so I just gave up. Now I get this message when I call up my PT LE software saying that some file extensions are missing and that I have to go to this web site to download something else, what's up with this? I'll figure it out eventually but it is just a pain. Does anyone use this auto tune 3 plug? Does it work well? Any advice will help, Thanks in advance.

i'm curious as well, can autotune alter the pitch of one string when a chord is played on a guitar? can it recognize a bad pitch amongst multiple sources and only alter that frequency?

also, with vocals, can it be applied to a bad note that has a nice vibrato, without destroying the vibrato? or would it adjust the variations in the vibrato and make the whole thing one flat frequency?

thanks for any answers and sudio a, let me know if you find it very useful.

i have been using this plug in quite a bit. Figureing out just a single string that's out of tune is probably not possible. I have mainly used this plug on vocals. if you have multiple tracks of different vocals then you can have 1 auto tune per, all set to the same key and that will work. As for destroying vibrato, it can if you have it working really hard to fix stuff. I'm still trying to figure out how to use the graphical mode the correct way, it's confusing to me but once mastered it can be a very magical tool for ya.

I think this is a great plugin and a must have. Not only does it help fix vocals...it can create some really cool effects!

autotune will definitely not repair anything in a chord.... the signal must be
mono (one note in a line).

although autotune is tailored primarily for vocals, it can sometimes work on other
things, guitar solos, etc. (with mixed results, but always worth a try)

hope this helps,
Dave
