ok, I\'m still confused about 6.1......
I use Win XP with Pro Tools LE; do I get a free upgrade to 6.1 or not? How do I get it? What's that **** they're talking about with plugins? If my friend gave me a plugin I won't be able to use it with 6.1?

If your friend gave ( ) you a plug-in.. it's illegal to use it on your computer.

You use Win XP with PTLE...so you're using 5.3.1 with the 001? 5.3.3 with the Mbox? It really doesn't matter anyway...what matters is when you bought and registered it. And I'm pretty sure it talks about that here As far as the plug your friend gave you, what exactly do you mean by he "gave" you? If you're the authorized owner of a pluggin, then you'll be able to use it, just check the compatibility and make sure you have a version of it that is compatible with 6.1. You'd find that info over there

If you registered your product.. they'll send you one when they get to your name in the database.

Re: ok, I\'m still confused about 6.1......
You can always call and ask about your registration status... but I'm guessing their database is pretty large and I'm sure it'd take more than a week to get everyone's updates out.
You can also ask them what to do with your buddie's programs that he "gave" you. Rail
